David Band is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. He
was a military lawyer in the Judge Advocate Corps. During his
27 years with the
U.S. Army Reserve, he performed with a Court Martial Defense
team, did extensive Legal Assistance for service members, and was extensively
trained in Military Law before being assigned to the position of Public Affairs Officer for a two-star General's logistics command. Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Band was appointed by
Louisiana Governor Mike Foster as Commissioner on the Veterans Affairs Commission
where he was involved in policy administrative matters of the Louisiana
Department of Veterans Affairs leading up to the dedication of the National
D-Day Museum
