David Band is a retired Lieutenant Colonel in the U.S. Army Reserve. He
was a military lawyer in the Judge Advocate Corps. During his
27 years with the U.S. Army Reserve, he performed with a Court Martial Defense
team, did extensive Legal Assistance for service members, and was extensively
trained in Military Law before being assigned to the position of Public Affairs Officer for a
two-star General's logistics command. Lieutenant Colonel (Ret.) Band
was appointed by
Louisiana Governor Mike Foster a Commissioner on the Veterans Affairs Commission
where he was involved in policy administrative matters of the Louisiana
Department of Veterans Affairs leading up to the dedication of the National
D-Day Museum.
